Rehab-robotics pioneer building care-focused humanoids

Shanghai-based robotics company founded in 2015. Fourier built its business on rehabilitation devices and says it has served more than 2,000 medical institutions and partners in over 40 countries and regions. It entered humanoids with GR-1, followed by GR-2 (2024) and GR-3 (2025), its first humanoid positioned as a 'Care-bot' for rehab, eldercare and human interaction.

ImageR&D humanoid launched in September 2024: 175 cm, 53 DoF, dexterous hands and an open developer platform.
MoU with Kobe University to bring advanced rehab technology and group therapy into clinical settings, giving Fourier a foothold in Japanese healthcare.
At GReAT 2026, Fourier signed agreements with Singapore's National Healthcare Group and Nagoya University.
A June 2026 report says GR-3 demonstrated cognitive training at PERKESO's rehabilitation centre in Malaysia, which adopted Fourier's rehab systems and agreed a strategic partnership to introduce GRx-series humanoids.
