Ant Group's embodied AI company building one brain for all robots
Robbyant (Shanghai Ant Lingbo Technology) is the embodied AI arm of Ant Group, registered in Shanghai in December 2024 and formally launched in March 2025. It builds its own wheeled dual-arm robots, the R1 (shown in September 2025) and the current R2, and open-sources robot foundation models such as LingBot-VLA. Its strategy is "one brain, many bodies": the same AI runs on third-party robots, and the company said in August 2026 that pre-training covered 17 robot brands and 20 form factors. Its robots now handle night-shift medicine sorting in a Guoda Pharmacy store in Shanghai.
ImageRobbyant's current wheeled dual-arm robot on an omnidirectional base. Its height adjusts from 134 to 180 cm and the arm rated payload is 6 kg. It supports custom development and OTA updates, with a dexterous hand, gripper or suction cup as end tools.

Staff said it was in mass production and had shipped to clients including the Shanghai History Museum, and that it is sold as part of scenario solutions rather than as a standalone product.

A robot running Robbyant's brain now works in a Guoda Pharmacy store in Shanghai, sorting medicines on the night shift to support the pharmacist on duty. The store reportedly needed no hardware changes.
Company staff said the R1 was in mass production and had shipped to early clients including the Shanghai History Museum. Unit numbers and operations have not been independently confirmed.
At IFA in September 2025, the R1 cooked shrimp in a mock kitchen to show home and service use.
At the World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2026, a Titan robot running LingBot-VLA 2.0 ran a full loading and unloading cycle on a mock industrial line, and a Leju robot reliably grasped parcels of mixed materials and messy stacks.
